Police Reports
Copies of police reports can be obtained in the following manner:
In Person: The Records Secretary is available from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday (except holidays).
EXACT CHANGE ONLY. CASHIER SERVICES ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
By Mail: Send a written request, or use the downloadable form below, including the date of the incident, type of report (i.e. Incident, Arrest or MV Accident), and the name(s) of the persons involved to:

The fees for copies of records (other than court discovery) are $.75 per page for the first ten (10) pages, $.50 per page for pages 11-20, and $.25 per page for all pages over 20, $5.00 for mailed accident reports, $5.00 for audio or video tape reproduction. For court discovery, the above fees apply with $.25 for stationery expenses. Add actual postage for any report mailed. An additional service fee may be charged is the records cannot be reproduced on ordinary copying equipment. All photographs will be photocopied. Actual photo reproductions will be prepared only upon separate request and payment for the actual costs is made in advance. Be sure to include a check made payable to "Bay Head Police Department" and a self addressed, stamped envelope.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will the contents of any report be divulged by phone or sent by fax. Please allow five (5) working days before requesting a copy of a report. For further information, call Kelley at (732) 892-0632.
Fingerprints
Fingerprinting can be done on request. It is recommended, however, that you call at least one (1) hour in advance to make an appointment. Fingerprinting services are available to Bay Head residents only and those requesting to have their fingerprint impressions taken are expected to supply their own fingerprint cards. There is no fee for this service.
Firearms
Applications for firearms permits are available during the records secretary's hours, in person only, at police headquarters. Fingerprinting for firearms permits can be done at that time, depending on officer's availability. BHPD will supply fingerprint cards for firearms applicants.
